  1. What Makes OceanSide Coastal Lighting Products so special -
    (why will they last so long on the coast??)

Every OceanSide Coastal Lighting product must meet a very stringent set of criteria before it is allowed to be added to the OceanSide family of products:
    1. It must be as non-corrosive as possible within the guidelines of general safety and all recognized Code and governing testing agencies like Underwriters Laboratories and the National Electric Code
    2. All possible corrosive components must be minimized or, wherever possible, eliminated
    3. It must provide maximum value and performance for the price paid
    4. For decorative applications, each product must offer excellent design and taste for the décor for which it is intended
    5. For task lighting applications, each product must perform its specified task in an excellent manner
    6. It must be a product that OceanSide Coastal Lighting Company is proud to have it bear its name
  1. What is Stone by OceanSide? (top)

    "Stone" is a proprietary nonmetallic composite material that has been specifically formulated and perfected by OceanSide Coastal Lighting Company. Through the use of special tooling, Stone is molded into patented designs that combine beauty and durability that are unavailable in more traditional materials used in lighting such as brass and cast aluminum.

    Stone by OceanSide enjoys several inherent features that make it especially effective in coastal environments. Stone will not, and cannot, rust or tarnish - ever! Unlike metal lights, lanterns made of Stone are seamless and contain no unsightly welds or joints. Also unique to Stone, is the fact that its color is molded throughout the material - there's no need for painting or resurfacing for the life of the fixture. Simple maintenance will keep a Stone lantern looking fresh and beautiful for years.

  2. How do I care for my Stone lanterns by OceanSide? (top)

Even though Stone lanterns do not rust or tarnish, Nature's coastal environment will require you to occasionally clean your Stone fixtures in order to keep them looking fresh and beautiful.

Care, however, is easy. Here are some tips:
    1. To clean the Stone material itself, several common household products work very well. In fact the best thing we have found to remove ocean salt residue and to renew the original finish is Liquid Gold found in any supermarket or hardware store. Simply apply Liquid Gold to a soft, clean cloth and wipe away any residue. For extreme buildups, secondary applications may be necessary.
    2. To clean lenses, either apply a typical glass cleaner, like Windex, using a clean nonabrasive cloth, or remove the lens from the fixture and put it in your dishwasher. It will come out great!

  4. Can I get all of the styles of Stone in any Color? (top)

    Absolutely yes! Each of our Stone designs is available in the color of your choice. Additionally, you can choose the type of lens (clear, frosted, opal) or globe (smoked, opal, or prismatic) you wish. The result is an endless choice of style and color, certain to be a unique and beautiful addition to your home.

  5. What happens if I don't like my OceanSide fixture when it arrives? (top)

While this isn't often the case, we understand that these things sometimes happen. We take pride in the fact that we stand behind our products and your total satisfaction is our #1 objective. If you aren't completely happy with your OceanSide fixture when it arrives, do one of two things:
    1. Use the Return Instructions that are included in each carton to return your fixture for exchange or for full credit.
    2. Contact us by phone, fax, or e-mail to let us know of your dissatisfaction and how we can solve your problem.

The answer is an emphatic, "YES!!" After all, if OceanSide Coastal lighting products are tough enough to last on the coast, just think how well they'll work in your more moderate climate. Even though there might not be the highly corrosive environment that exists by the sea, your fixtures still face the problems of rust, tarnishing, and the need for painting. OceanSide Coastal Lighting fixtures never need painting and they will not Rust, Tarnish, Corrode, Peel, of Pit - Ever!!
